DevOps Tech Pod Leader

100% Remote | U.S.-Based (Eastern or Central Time Zones Preferred)

We’re hiring a DevOps Tech Pod Leader to lead complex, production-grade cloud environments for enterprise technology customers. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys autonomy, client collaboration, and building highly reliable systems at scale.

You’ll lead a small pod of engineers while working directly with clients to design, operate, and continuously improve modern DevOps platforms. If you enjoy ownership, variety, and real-world impact, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do

• Own delivery and execution for your DevOps Tech Pod
• Partner directly with clients on scope, priorities, and outcomes
• Lead and mentor engineers technically and professionally
• Design, operate, and scale cloud-native environments on AWS
• Architect and run multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms (EKS)
• Build automation to improve reliability, performance, and speed
• Lead production migrations using blue-green and progressive delivery patterns
• Implement new tools and improve existing platforms as requirements evolve
• Participate in client-facing and internal scrums
• Support live production systems with a focus on continuous improvement

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CloudOps, or SRE roles
• 3+ years of team leadership and client-facing experience
• Strong Linux fundamentals
• Proficiency in one or more: Golang, Python, Ruby, Bash, TypeScript, or Rust
• Deep hands-on AWS experience in highly available environments
• Production experience with Amazon EKS (multi-tenant, RBAC, namespaces)
• GitOps experience with ArgoCD (federated preferred)
• Secrets management with HashiCorp Vault and Kubernetes integrations
• Experience migrating production workloads with minimal downtime
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform + Atlantis and/or CloudFormation)
• Monitoring experience (Datadog, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana)
• Experience with Docker, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB), and MySQL/Postgres

Nice to Have

• Progressive delivery tooling (Argo Rollouts, canary, blue-green)
• FinOps or cloud cost optimization experience
• Large-scale platform migrations or consolidations
• GCP or Azure exposure
• Industry certifications (AWS, HashiCorp, Red Hat, etc.)
