About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps / Azure DevOps / OpenShift (Kubernetes) Engineer to provide leadership and technical expertise on enterprise-level projects. This role involves mentoring team members, driving organizational maturity, and collaborating with development teams to ensure platforms are aligned with business requirements.
You will be responsible for automating CI/CD pipelines, supporting containerized applications, and managing large-scale deployments on Red Hat OpenShift. Strong knowledge of cloud, container orchestration, DevSecOps practices, and monitoring tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead DevSecOps and Kubernetes engineering initiatives across enterprise platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, Git repos, work item structures, and standards.
- Automate CI/CD for applications on RedHat OpenShift/OCP, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Create and maintain build, deployment, and CRD configuration files for OpenShift applications.
- Develop Docker and S2I images, manage Stateful sets, and maintain Docker repositories (e.g., Quay).
- Troubleshoot application issues in OpenShift environments.
- Configure and manage the Elastic Stack (ELK 8.x+) including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.
- Integrate tools such as SonarQube, Coverity, Black Duck into ADO pipelines.
- Write and maintain Linux shell scripts (.ksh, bash) and Python scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of applications.
- Document processes, standards, and automation best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- 8+ years in Linux shell scripting (bash, ksh).
- 5+ years of expertise in application containerization management.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, workflows)
- Red Hat OpenShift v4
- Docker & S2I
- Elastic Stack (ELK)
- SonarQube, Black Duck
- Linux administration
- Python scripting
- NGINX, WebSphere, LDAP
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, and debugging Java applications.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour
