Location: Remote / Hybrid (as permitted by contract) within Washington DC Metro area (60 miles)

Experience Level: Mid–Senior (7+ years in DevOps / DevSecOps within federal or regulated environments)

Salary Range: $185 -195K

Clearance: Able to Obtain Public Trust

Position Overview

World Services LLC, an IT engineering, solutions, and management consulting firm, is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal agency’s enterprise digital transformation initiative.

This role centers on CI/CD pipeline engineering, security automation, and continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO), with the DevSecOps Engineer responsible for embedding security and compliance controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle in support of federal mission systems.

The DevSecOps Engineer enables secure, repeatable, and auditable deployments by integrating security controls, compliance checks, and operational safeguards directly into delivery pipelines. Operating in a regulated federal environment, this role plays a key part in achieving and sustaining continuous ATO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support CI/CD automation for Databricks Jobs, Workflows, and APIs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Embed automated security scanning and compliance controls into pipeline workflows.
  • Implement cATO-aligned pipeline controls.
  • Manage Git-based workflows and automated deployments.
  • Enforce security best practices including secrets management and access controls.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure, auditable deployments.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, reliability, and security posture.
  • Support audit readiness and compliance documentation.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

  • Support production operations and issue resolution.
  • Produce technical documentation.
  • Align with the agency’s data Program Management Office (PMO) related requirements and governance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps
  • 2+ years of experience in DevSecOps roles.
  • U.S. Citizenship and Secret Clearance.
  • Strong CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Experience integrating security into pipelines.
  • Experience in regulated or federal environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DHS, DoD, or federal civilian agency experience.
  • Continuous ATO (cATO) implementation experience.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Policy-as-code or automated compliance tools.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.

Pay: $185,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
