Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DHS Certified Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team. This vital role is responsible for the safe administration of medications and treatments to residents in accordance with Pennsylvanina Department of Human Services. Candidate is responsible for administering medications, treatments, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities to promote health and well-being in a respectful and safe manner.
Duties
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess patient health status.
- Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living, including mobility support, personal hygiene, and feeding assistance.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation.
- Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines diligently to uphold a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- Valid DHS certification as a Med Tech.
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, anatomy, physiology, and medication management.
