The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is CAAHEP accredited.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Must have a current ARDMS credential in both Abdomen and OB/GYN
  • RVT credential is a plus
  • At least 2 years of clinical imaging experience required
  • Must be able to travel to all clinical locations
  • Proficient in supervision, instruction, evaluation and academic advising
  • Proficient in using the computer

Summary: Coordinate and monitor the clinical education and instruction of students in the DMS Ultrasound Program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Secure new clinical sites with clinical affiliate agreements.
  • Facilitate appropriate direct and indirect supervision of the students in the clinical setting.
  • Facilitate appropriate and adequate clinical instruction and competency evaluation for students in the clinical setting.
  • Develop and monitor clinical assignments and schedules for students.
  • Visit clinical sites to review and evaluate student’s clinical performance and progress.
  • Coordinate with clinical site instructors to ensure clinical education is effective.
  • Coordinate the clinical education for the DMS program.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of students within the department. Develop and monitor clinical objective and evaluations.
  • Maintain clinical education documentation of assignments and rotations, attendance and student evaluations.
  • Send out graduate employer surveys for program assessment and future development at completion of program.
  • Exhibit a positive professional attitude toward clinical affiliates, students and the teaching process by using positive interpersonal communication skills.
  • Participate in staff and faculty meetings, professional development seminars and DMS Advisory Board Team.
  • Work with Program Director in all program aspects as deemed necessary by the Program Director.
  • Provide student guidance and academic counseling.
  • Other duties as assigned
