Job Summary:
The Dialysis Technician is responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining dialysis machines while ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatment to patients. The role includes monitoring patients during procedures, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and NABH guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care
- Prepare patients for dialysis treatment as per doctor’s orders.
- Monitor vital signs before, during, and after dialysis.
- Observe patients for complications and report abnormalities immediately.
- Provide emotional support and educate patients about dialysis procedures.
2. Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines properly.
- Check dialyzer, bloodlines, and equipment before use.
- Perform routine maintenance and disinfection of machines.
- Ensure water treatment system is functioning properly.
3. Infection Control & Safety
- Follow strict infection control practices.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during vascular access handling.
- Dispose of biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and safety protocols.
4. Documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and dialysis charts.
- Record treatment parameters and report any deviations.
- Assist in maintaining dialysis unit inventory and logs.
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and ICU staff.
- Assist in emergency situations in the dialysis unit.

Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology or Renal Dialysis Technology.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital dialysis unit preferred.
- Knowledge of NABH protocols and infection control standards.

- Ability to handle dialysis machines efficiently.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
