Dialysis Transportation Driver

SUMMARY: Incumbent is to provide efficient and safe transportation services to dialysis patients to and from the facility. Will assist coworkers with miscellaneous tasks depending on the situation and needs of the department. The schedule for this role is set for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, including holidays, from 4:00AM to 5:00PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Work requires extensive driving between and around communities, hospitals, and other medical facilities
• Lifting, bending, and sometimes carrying is necessary to assist the disabled patients when transporting to/and from dialysis
• Ensure vehicles are clean inside and out at all times
• Vehicle will be used for dialysis related activities only. Vehicles cannot be used for personal use
• Schedule repairs and appointments. Take vehicles to such appointments
• Complete vehicle checklist monthly
• Participate in unit staff meetings, in services, as appropriate
• Receive incoming calls, greet patients, and visitors
• Driver will provide efficient and safe transportation and courteous services to any dialysis patients requiring service. You will be required to knock on the patient's door and walk them to and from the vehicle
• Other duties assigned will be but not limited to filing, housekeeping, stocking shelves and cupboards, making packs and running errands
• Ability to work long hours and holidays, including occasional off days
• Ability to drive a vehicle in all types of weather and road conditions as endured.
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must be insurable under the Tribe's insurance carrier.
