Die Maintenance Engineer- Cold core box

1.0 JOB SUMMARY:

To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, Die Maintenance, production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes. Monitor measure and report on production related process performance, general issues. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify the root cause and take fast effective action to resolve the issue. To maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

o Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:

o The Global Operating System Plays;

o ISO 45001 Health and Safety management system standard;

o ISO 14001 Environmental Management system standard;

o Support and contribute to improve organization EHS performance

o ISO 9001 Quality Management system.

o IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.

o Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.

o Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.

o Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.

o Maintain department 5S requirements.

o Submit and implement lean and safety suggestions.

• Hands on experience of Die maintenance ,Tool room activities ,Fixture maintenance
• Need to finish assigned task in targeted time.
• Ensuring process control, housekeeping.
• Ensure product quality and rejection control.
• Understand SMED / setup time reduction techniques.
• Maintain Die & Core box spare inventory & initiate PR if required.
• Participate in corrective action to meet ongoing cost, quality, and delivery

ACADEMIC / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ diploma in tool & Die making.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of six to eight years of high volume GDC manufacturing environment as a shift in-charge.
• Production / Manufacturing Operations: Spearheading Die maintenance related tasks including planning, control & troubleshooting for achieving the planned periodic schedules and process control. Minimizing performance bottlenecks for high productivity with optimization of men, material, cost and machine, etc.
• Plant Operations: Managing activities right from the conceptualization stage to the execution, involving finalization
• Technical specifications, procurement, scheduling, progress monitoring, manpower planning, etc. Studying drawings, plans or patterns of structures to be made or repaired as per requirements. Developing the required vendors for fabrication and machining process; providing guidance for developing the Die designs on a regular basis
• Process Enhancement: Ascertaining areas of improvement and recommending process modifications and equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiencies of the systems.
• Quality Assurance: Monitoring and optimizing the manufacturing processes & troubleshooting problems in coordination with other departments for new product development & improving efficiency. Focusing on the optimization of process parameters & initiating process improvements for achieving productivity targets. Assessing quality performance in production areas along with analysis of production goals verses quality & cost objectives.
• Ability to read & Understand Engineering drawing, Study job orders and interpret blueprints to determine tool maintenance to be performed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

GDC/LPDC shop environment

Exposure to hazardous materials/ operations

Required to work shift work and over stay as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
