Diesel Generator Electrical Technician

A Diesel Generator Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and related electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of diesel generators.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including wiring, control panels, and alternators.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on DG sets.
• Inspect and monitor generator performance, voltage, frequency, and load.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Prepare maintenance reports and service logs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of diesel engine basics and electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in emergency situations.
• Valid Qatar Driving License preferred.
