Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Overview
Site and Utility contractor looking for a diesel mechanic with experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment, as well as on road diesel vehicles

Duties

• Perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, transmission servicing, and air brake system inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
• Interact with vendors for parts and outside service when required
• Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics..
• Experience working on heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozer, loaders, and diesel vehicles of all sizes.
• Ability to operate power tools safely; experience with welding and soldering is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting; comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
• Valid Driver's License
• Clean driving record
• Class A CDL not required, but definitely a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
