Diesel Mechanic (1 yr exp)

Northern Kentucky Truck Service is a small business in Florence, KY specialized in diesel maintenance.

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be willing to drive our company-provided service truck to a breakdown location and be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines on site in all weather conditions.

When in the shop, the candidate will be performing preventive maintenance, and completing repairs on a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of diesel engines, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

In order to qualify, the candidate will need a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check and be well versed in the use of technology in order to facilitate payment at time of service when out on a call.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines.
• Repair and replace parts as needed.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 6-10 hour shift
• Evening shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm with some overtime expected on occasion)

Location:

Florence, KY 41042: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair - 1 year or more (Required)
