Job Summary

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The role ensures that all vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Repair or replace defective parts such as brakes, fuel systems, engines, and transmissions
• Conduct engine overhauls and major repairs when required
• Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper operation
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Follow safety standards and company maintenance procedures
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair needs

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Relevant technical certification or diploma is preferred
• Physical ability to perform manual and mechanical tasks
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts if required
