Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines and heavy equipment using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools.
• Repair and service farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy machinery.
• Replace or repair tires, brakes, shocks & struts, alignments, and perform wheel balancing to ensure safety and optimal operation.
• Maintain detailed service records and follow manufacturer specifications for vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components.
• Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and working with power tools.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Experience with excavator, crane, forklift operation; familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus.
• Proficient in tire service, brake repair, suspension work, alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance routines.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Capable of heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions; familiarity with heavy machinery safety standards is essential.
