Diesel Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for working with medium and heavy diesel. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their expertise to support our operations effectively.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Conduct diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Work with hydraulic systems, air brakes, and electrical components.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the shop or field.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel mechanics or related fields.
• Strong skills in diagnostics, hydraulics, air brake systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to fabricate components as necessary for repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• A valid clean driver's license is required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
• Must have own tools.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• welding aluminum and steel is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour
