Preventative maintenance

Brake and suspension work

Transmission: diagnosing, removing and rebuilding

Electrical troubleshooting, wiring and repairs

Hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders and valves and hoses

Heavy-duty trucks, trailers and equipment
-
Fabricate hoses
-
Proficiency with welding, torches etc.

Roadside emergency

Onsite diagnostics and repairs
Qualifications:
Diesel Mechanic
Dependable Over 3 years of hands-experience working on diverse equipment such as semi-trucks, light duty trucks, cars, construction equipment and forklifts. Dependable, detail-orientated, and committed to minimizing downtime and keeping equipment road-ready. Comfortable working independently in the field.

Own tools

Valid driver’s license, CDL a bonus

Able to work flexible hours, Overtime as needed

Customer service skills

Available as mobile service when needed

Capable of managing long active hours in workshop setting

Bending, lifting of heavy parts and physical work involved

Exposure to outdoors in varying weather conditions
Overview:
Diesel Mechanic
For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Mechanic: Performs work in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
