Diesel Mechanic

The Whiskey Project Group, USA is seeking a Diesel Mechanics for its Edenton, NC location. The Mechanic will assist with mechanical systems installation for TWPG vessels. Employee’s will adhere to ABYC, USCG and other certifications and industry standards

TWPG USA Marine Diesel Mechanic will install, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, and generators on vessels ranging from 21ft. - 65ft. They will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical failures, and conduct sea trials to ensure vessel safety.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Engine Installation: Install news engines, generators, steering systems and other mechanical systems in new builds.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform general repair and maintenance on diesel engines, steering and mechanical systems
• Sea Trials & Testing: Perform Sea Trials on new vessels to ensure all mechanical systems are properly functioning prior to delivery. Conduct testing on mechanical components and systems.
• Documentation: Maintain QC records on all mechanical systems and services
• Safety: follow OSHA and inhouse safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Customer Service: Assist sales with customer service and training. Advise on operation and best practices for engine care.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of diesel engines, marine hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Tools Proficiency: Skilled in using hand tools, gauges, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic devices.
• Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED; specialized certification from a marine engine repair program is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and work in varied conditions.
• Experience: Previous experience as a marine mechanic or diesel technician is usually required.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
