Diesel Mechanic

Overview
At Yeager Transport Inc we are looking for a solid Diesel Mechanic to join our crew. If you’ve got hands-on experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipment—and you're not afraid to get a little dirty—this could be the perfect fit.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet of heavy machinery and industrial equipment running smoothly. From routine maintenance to full-on engine repairs, you’ll handle it all in a fast-paced, no-two-days-are-the-same kind of environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Fabricate components as needed to ensure proper functionality of machinery.
• Operate heavy equipment safely while conducting repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems within diesel engines.
• Weld and solder components to repair structural damage or enhance durability.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
• Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working with industrial equipment.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or industrial sector.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintaining diesel engines.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
• Experience with electrical systems related to diesel engines is preferred.
• Ability to fabricate parts using welding or soldering techniques is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for operating company vehicles.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
