Diesel Mechanic

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will ensure our fleet and equipment operate safely and efficiently. You’ll be tasked with both routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues in the shop and on-site in the field.

Action Supply is a leading supplier of Concrete, Aggregates and Block in Atlantic and Cape May counties. We work closely with both contractors and homeowners on projects big and small. Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety in all daily activities and adhere to workplace safety protocols.
• Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on the first attempt.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to aid in diagnostics.
• Remove, replace, and repair major components on light/heavy trucks and small to heavy equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and DOT-compliant annual vehicle inspections.
• Perform on-site field repairs as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience with diesel trucks, small engines, and/or heavy equipment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, accompanied by significant mechanical training.
• Skills: Strong technical knowledge, detail-oriented, with a reasonable level of computer literacy.
• Work Style: Capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal guidance.
• Communication: Good verbal communication skills with a diverse variety of people and backgrounds.
• Requirements: Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
