Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently. You will be working with various types of vehicles and farm machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire changes, and brake inspections.
• Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs.
• Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Work with hydraulics to ensure proper functionality of machinery.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Weld components when necessary to ensure structural integrity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, particularly with diesel engines.
• Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment, including Caterpillar products.
• Proficient in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills
• Certification or relevant training in diesel mechanics is preferred but not required.
