Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Position Summary:
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Complete oil changes, brake repairs, tire replacements, and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines and truck maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Previous diesel mechanic experience is preferred but not required.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position.
- Overtime may be required as needed.
Pay: Based on experience.
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
