Diesel Mechanic Service Technician

Beelman Truck Co. is growing and looking to add experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our growing team at Venice, IL.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm and every other Saturday

Pay - $25 -30/hr. based on experience.

Job Duties

• Diagnose mechanic and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and manuals
• Repair or replace faulty engine components like transmissions, brakes, and fuel systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid level checks
• Communicate effectively with drivers and supervisors to diagnose issues and explain repairs
• Maintain detailed records of services performed on vehicles
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and shop protocols

Job Requirements

• Must possess your own tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with your hands
• Strong understanding of Class 8 equipment in relation to DOT and TMC Standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position – lifting, bending, climbing, standing long periods of time, etc.
• All other duties as assigned by management
