What You'll Do

• Inspect and repair mechanical and electrical components; diagnose issues accurately
• Perform routine maintenance (fluids, lubrication, etc.) to ensure vehicle longevity
• Repair or replace damaged parts (brakes, airlines, drivelines, etc.)
• Maintain shop equipment and tools in good working condition
• Communicate effectively with drivers
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts
• Evening shift
• Monday–Friday
• Overtime and weekends as needed

Job Requirements:
Requirements

• Heavy truck mechanic experience: 4 years required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
• CDL A or B (preferred but not required)
• English proficiency
• Must be able to relocate to South Bend, IN before starting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with heavy truck equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Familiarity with diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to operate tools and heavy equipment
• Commitment to safety and hazard prevention
• Ability to lift, push, pull, lower heavy parts and equipment
• High school diploma preferred; vocational certification or apprenticeship is a plus
• Must have applicable tools (standard and metric)
