JOB DESCRIPTION
Troy Lumber Company is seeking a diesel shop foreman that can manage daily repair shop operations, supervising technicians, assigning tasks, insured quality control, and oversees inventory to maintain efficiency.

DUTIES
- Perform all tasks by adhering to and following all applicable and always required safety standards and procedures.
- Maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of heavy equipment, such as: Taylor Forklifts, knuckle boom, Rolling Stock, Cat, Volvo, Skid Steer Loader and Telehandlers.
- Accurately disassemble, inspect, determine parts needed and reassemble to factory specifications.
- Accurate perform preventive maintenance, test equipment and conduct inspections to secure proper operations.
- Operate lifting devices
- Order, exchange and return parts for assigned jobs in timely manner
- Complete service reports and all other paperwork accurately and on time.
- May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years-experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel equipment.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures.
- Able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals.
- Working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarization of electronic cables, connections, and sensors.
- A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, organization and ability to prioritize tasks is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Requires to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
- Physical use of broad variety of tools and machines in order to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
