Job Summary

Coastal Carriers is seeking an experienced and skilled Diesel Technician to join our growing team. This vital role will focus on the maintenance and repair of our refrigerated trailer fleet, ensuring that our equipment operates at peak performance and remains in top condition. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service that Coastal Carriers is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on diesel trucks and refrigerated trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Conduct safety inspections and assess the operational efficiency of trucks and trailers.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians to improve repair processes and service quality.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with diesel engines and/ or refrigerated trailers preferred.
• Proficiency in diagnostics and repair techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
