Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, trailer repair and farm equipment. You will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as Semi's, trailers, tractors, construction equipment and diesel pickups.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet repair specifications.
• Replace or repair shocks & struts, brake systems, wheel alignments, tires, and suspension components to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Learn/ know how to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs on various machinery.

Experience

• Extensive background working with heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in automotive repair with a focus on diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, and suspension components.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering for fabrication and repairs.
• Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and the ability to interpret technical manuals is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks including tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, and HVAC servicing.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
