Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel equipment
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems
- Use diagnostics tools to identify and resolve issues
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with diesel engines
- Proficiency in automotive repair techniques and procedures
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostics tools
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment
- Ability to fabricate or modify parts as needed for repairs
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and procedures
- Proficiency in using power tools for repairs and maintenance
- Familiarity with shocks, struts, and suspension systems is preferred
