Job Summary
The Diesel Truck Mechanic is responsible for inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of
heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial vehicles
to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient fleet operations. The role requires strong hands-on mechanical expertise and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and steering of heavy vehicles.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per maintenance schedules.

Inspect engines, gearboxes, axles, and driveline components.

Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems related to diesel vehicles.

Conduct engine overhauls, fuel system repairs, and injector servicing.

Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance logs.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

Coordinate with supervisors to minimize vehicle downtime.
Qualifications
-
ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, or relevant trade.

Diesel mechanic certification is an advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum 3–6 years of experience as a Diesel Truck Mechanic.

Proven experience working on heavy vehicles (trucks, buses, trailers).
-
GCC experience is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems.

Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.
