Our company is looking to add a highly qualified Diesel Truck/Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Shop Manager to our team.
- Employer may be willing to relocate for the right candidate!
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of diesel truck/heavy equipment mechanic experience that includes but is not limited to working on diesel pickups, dump trucks, graders, dozers, excavators, loaders and trailers.
- Be highly self-motivated and maintain a positive attitude.
- Be proficient in scheduling outside maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Manage and maintain a clean and organized shop truck and shop. Including keeping consumables ordered and in inventory (grease, oil, filters and cleaners)
- Have a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License with D.O.T. Medical Card or waiver to drive company vehicles to various job sites, and a clean insurable driving record.
- Always aware of safety and quality of work.
Employer Note:
- Employer will conduct a drug screen upon hire and conduct random drug testing throughout employment.
- Typically, home nightly but sometimes a random job will require overnight stays.
- Be flexible with work sites.
Job Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance including brake jobs, replace front ends, suspension work and diagnose issues on late model Ram/Chevy/Ford pickups and Kenworth dump trucks.
- Perform DOT inspections.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it's in good working order.
- Welding and Fabrication.
- Track scheduled maintenance of equipment.
- Fill out performance records to report problems with equipment and track where and when it was used.
- Follow standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
Days and Hours:
Standard schedule is Monday - Friday, schedule to be arranged by the employer. Will travel to job sites and work an occasional Sundays, as needed.
Wages and Benefits:
- This position starts at $110k per year, based upon a minimum of 180 hours per month. Wage is negotiable based on experience.
