Position Overview
The Diet Chef is responsible for preparing healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals tailored to specific dietary requirements. This role requires knowledge of nutrition, portion control, and culinary techniques to create meals that support wellness, medical needs, or lifestyle preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary guidelines (low-calorie, diabetic-friendly, gluten-free, etc.).
- Collaborate with nutritionists or dietitians to design menus that meet health and wellness goals.
- Ensure proper portion control and nutritional balance in all dishes.
- Source fresh, high-quality ingredients and maintain food safety standards.
- Modify traditional recipes to create healthier alternatives without compromising taste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
- Educate clients or staff on healthy eating practices when required.
