Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals that meet their dietary needs. You will work closely with the dietary department to assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals who are passionate about food service and customer care.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and cleaning equipment
• Support the dietary department in meal planning and food production activities
• Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal times
• Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service
• Follow proper protocols for food storage and handling to prevent contamination

Skills

• Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred
• Background in food production or the food industry is advantageous
• Culinary experience with knowledge of meal preparation techniques
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and food service operations
• Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with residents
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
