Duties

• Assist with food production and meal preparation to ensure timely and nutritious service for residents
• Serve meals with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
• Maintain strict food safety standards by handling food properly, cleaning workstations, and adhering to sanitation protocols
• Support dietary department operations by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and managing food handling tasks
• Help with kitchen duties such as cooking, food plating, and inventory management to support efficient meal service
• Ensure compliance with health regulations through proper sanitation practices and routine cleaning of kitchen equipment
• Provide friendly customer service by engaging positively with residents and staff during meal times

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred
• Background in food production or the food industry, including culinary experience or kitchen work
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities, food handling, serving, and sanitation procedures
• Experience working in hospital or healthcare settings is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to coordinate meal preparation and service efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper cleaning protocols in a kitchen environment
• Previous roles involving food preparation, cooking, or dietary department tasks will be considered a plus
