Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the nutritional status of patients through medical history, diet recall, and clinical data.
- Plan and prescribe therapeutic diets based on patient diagnosis and treatment plans (e.g., diabetic, renal, cardiac, post-operative, etc.).
- Prepare and update diet charts for inpatients and outpatients as advised by treating consultants.
- Supervise preparation, portioning, and distribution of food to ensure quality, hygiene, and compliance with prescribed diets.
- Conduct periodic rounds to check patient satisfaction and adherence to dietary instructions.
- Educate patients and families on nutrition, diet modifications, and healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with doctors and nursing staff to ensure integrated patient care.
- Monitor food service operations and maintain records of diet requisitions, meal distribution, and feedback.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene and compliance with NABH / hospital quality standards.
- Participate in audits, training programs, and hospital committees related to food and nutrition.
Education & Skills:
Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 1–2 experience years in hospital
· Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets
· Good communication and counseling skills
