Digital and SharePoint Content Specialist
Marketing and Community Relations

This position will assist the Senior Webmaster and the Marketing and Community Relations (MCR) team with updating and maintaining CHFA’s intranet and external websites in order to meet business and customer needs and support the overall strategic objectives of the organization. Responsible for updating CHFA’s intranet, video, social media, and eNews platforms to ensure they remain customer-focused, up-to-date, accessible, and with optimized usability. Balancing a creative eye with an analytical mindset is essential. This position will maintain and test the functionality and efficiency of our intranet infrastructure and make recommendations to optimize all aspects of the site, ensuring that UX levels are maintained or exceeded. This position works closely with all divisions and completes projects in collaboration with MCR, as well as the Information Technology (IT) Divisions.
We’re seeking a specialist who thrives working in marketing and communications environments making SharePoint work for people—not building it from the ground up but managing and optimizing what’s already in place. This role is perfect for someone who understands how users interact with SharePoint and supports CHFA by ensuring the platform remains intuitive, organized, and relevant. This person will be the go-to expert for SharePoint front-end maintenance and content updates; maintaining site lists and libraries, supporting content owners, and ensuring SharePoint remains a reliable and user-friendly tool across the organization.
This is not a web development role. Instead, this role will focus on executing content updates and coordinating efforts with our external web development partners when technical work is required.
Serve as the primary front-end content specialist for CHFA’s SharePoint intranet content – ensuring the site is accurate, current, and aligns with business objectives.
Daily maintenance and updating of the intranet’s homepage/hub with all CHFA communications/dynamic content; evaluating for findability, usability, and interactivity.
Implement new and updated pages utilizing Web Parts, Apps, and HTML. Make recommendations and modifications based on best practices. Maintain and optimize content on a regular schedule.
Manage annual process for intranet content reviews and audits with divisions and departments to ensure all content is reviewed, edited, and approved regularly.
Monitor and provide quality control, troubleshooting and provide user support to resolve issues.
Conduct testing and quality assurance checks of the SharePoint environment.
Provide SharePoint training, guidance, and support for all users to help foster and increase SharePoint usage.
Manage site collections, libraries, lists, and user permissions in collaboration with MCR and IT
Serve as backup to Senior Webmaster of CHFA’s Vimeo presence by curating and maintaining CHFA’s video library, in addition to implementing accessibility requirements
Serve as point-of-contact, in collaboration with Senior Webmaster, for all external eNews - collaborating, developing, creating, and maintaining all CHFA-branded email newsletters and events through Constant Contact while adhering to the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act.
Layout and update content on platforms including SharePoint, Kentico, WordPress, Drupal, Vimeo, and Constant Contact.
Work collaboratively with MCR (copywriters and designers), and divisional/departmental content owners to evaluate and interpret new content and help to convert it to dynamic, written-for-web, user-centric digital design to support organizational objectives.
Work closely with and support the MCR division, ensuring all online content complies with CHFA brand and style guidelines while also adhering to web accessibility and optimization standards.
Use your eye for layout and usability to ensure content is not only accurate, but visually engaging, easy to navigate, accessible and on-brand
Serve as backup to Senior Webmaster for all websites and social/new media platforms.
Serve as backup for social media monitoring and complaint/review site monitoring.
Assist and participate in large migrations or redesigns, helping with the creation, update, and maintenance of site content on respective platform; collaborate with IT and vendors on such projects.
Work alongside designers, writers, and communicators to bring CHFA’s internal brand to life through SharePoint
Assist with miscellaneous marketing projects and event support

Must possess:
Strong knowledge and previous experience with SharePoint Online (Modern and Classic), WebApps, WebParts, MS Teams, and SharePoint Designer.
Strong knowledge of Constant Contact (or comparable eNews application) and Vimeo.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, structured data, and SEO-optimized content.
Experience with various Web CMS systems like Drupal, WordPress, and Kentico.
Proficient in current UX and UI mobile-first/responsive web design technologies and trends, information architecture, branding, and grammar.
Proficient with Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Proven experience building SharePoint pages and editing digital content on various CMS and social media platforms.
Working knowledge of ADA web accessibility requirements.
Well-developed technical writing, and documentation skills.
Ability to demonstrate creative and critical thinking skills to trouble shoot and problem solve.
Ability to produce high-quality work in a high pressure, project-oriented, deadline-driven environment; ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects at once.
Excellent communication, language, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently on deadline, as well as function in a collaborative environment with colleagues as clients.
Excellent customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills.

BS/BA in Computer Science, Web Design, Digital Media, Marketing Communications, Human-computer Interaction or a related field.
Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years’ experience with SharePoint, web system front-end administration, management, communications, or related experience.
Experience collaborating with creative teams to deliver engaging digital content
Proven ability to translate business needs into intuitive, user-friendly SharePoint experiences.
This is a non-developer role focused on front-end SharePoint administration, content management, and user experience.
Familiarity with accessibility standards.

The person in this position will perform the essential functions of the position primarily in a hybrid office environment, which requires sitting, or if preferred standing, at a desk for most of the day with or without accommodations. $79,000 - $100,000
