As a Digital Cloud Solution Architect - Data & AI, you will become part of the next generation of technical sales leaders at Microsoft. With the aid of best-in-class sales processes, techniques, and technologies, you will be empowered to shape customer relationships for a strategic set of Microsoft's customers. These customers are adopting industry-leading products and services for their businesses, education or government systems. You will serve as the central point of contact for the customer across engagements helping to drive Microsoft's existing cloud & enterprise consumption through developing and managing customer relationships.

Engage with customers: Partner with IT and business leaders to understand their data estate, business priorities, and success measures, and design secure, scalable Data & AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Lead solution design and roadmaps: Conduct architecture design sessions and develop Data & Analytics roadmaps to guide adoption and ensure long-term technical viability.

Ensure production readiness and technical excellence: Oversee health, resiliency, security, and optimization of mission-critical data workloads, enabling production-scale AI use cases.

Resolve technical challenges and influence products: Identify blockers, and provide feedback to Microsoft on customer development needs, customer blockers, or mitigation strategies.

Drive business impact: You will collaborate and orchestrate with other Digital Cloud Solution Architects and the Microsoft ecosystem to provide strategic guidance to expand Azure usage and optimize customer workloads.

Maintain and demonstrate technical expertise: Hold advanced certifications and deliver with expert-level proficiency across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, and other priority Data & AI workloads. Stay current with market trends, contribute to technical communities, and mentor peers.

Meet targets and manage pipeline: Through close engagement with customers and partners, work to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets. Accurately manage customer progress in CRM to forecast, assess risk, and identify plans for exceptional performance in weekly deal and pipeline reviews.
Required Qualifications

5+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales

OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
-
OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND 3+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales.

3+ years of experience building and deploying Azure Data architectures or competitive platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud solution sales.
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

3+ years of experience on Azure Databases (SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL) from migration & modernize and creating new AI apps.

3+ years of experience on Azure Analytics (Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview) and/or competitors (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) in data warehouse, data lake, big data, analytics, real-time intelligent, and reporting using integrated Data Security & Governance.

3+ years of experience on data warehouse & big data migration including on-prem appliance (Teradata, Netezza, Oracle), Hadoop (Cloudera, Hortonworks) and Azure Synapse Gen2.
Digital Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $51.15 - $97.88 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $66.15 - $107.02 per hour.
