Job Summary
Ober is seeking a creative, team-oriented professional with a passion for tourism, outdoor recreation, and digital storytelling. The Digital Content & Communications Manager will oversee social media, digital content creation, and guest‑facing communications across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for producing high‑quality photo and video content, managing online engagement, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring all messaging aligns with the brand voice to drive growth, conversions, and guest loyalty.
This position requires flexibility, including occasional weekends, holidays, and event support outside standard business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Marketing Department across all marketing and communication initiatives.
- Lead and execute the social media strategy to increase engagement, brand awareness, and website traffic.
- Capture and produce high‑quality photo and video content; edit and optimize for social media, YouTube, digital signage, and other marketing channels.
- Develop and manage organic social media campaigns aligned with business goals and seasonal priorities.
- Monitor and respond to guest messages, comments, and reviews across all platforms in a timely, brand‑appropriate manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Events, Wildlife, etc.) to ensure cohesive messaging and cross‑departmental alignment.
- Ability to identify, vet, and collaborate with influencers and content creators; manage communication, expectations, deliverables, and ensure authentic content supports the brand initiatives.
- Build and deploy email marketing campaigns, including mass communications and segmented sends based on guest behavior and sales history.
- Draft newsletters, promotional messaging, and occasional press releases for media distribution.
- Utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.) to track performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices to keep the brand competitive and relevant.
- Assist with on‑site event coverage, content capture, and real‑time posting as needed
Experience:
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for multimedia content creation
- Hands-on experience with social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch) and social media management applications like Hootsuite or Buffer
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword research techniques, and web analytics platforms, including Google Analytics
- Knowledge of Facebook Advertising platform for creating targeted ad campaigns that drive engagement and conversions
- Experience in video editing and photography to produce compelling visual content for diverse digital channels
- Strong relationship management skills to collaborate effectively across departments and external agencies
- Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail in all written materials
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
