About the Role

Kira is seeking its first Digital Content & Social Media Manager to own our digital presence and create the content and collateral that bring our brand to life. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, design, and community building—helping us connect with educators, partners, and stakeholders across channels. Core Responsibilities


Social Media 

  • Grow Kira’s social following across all channels while creating and maintaining unique social identities that suit each platform
  • Manage day-to-day posting, monitoring, scheduling, and engagement across all social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook Group)
  • Create static content for all social media channel posts with support from our design team
  • Develop and execute channel-specific strategies that align with company goals and resonate with educators
  • Conduct social listening to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging conversations; advise on rapid-response content or campaigns
  • Track and analyze performance metrics; report on data insights and optimize strategy to grow reach, engagement, and conversions


Digital Content Marketing

  • Make marketing assets and designs using tools like Figma/Adobe/Canva, plus short videos end-to-end (script, on-camera, edit, publish) using tools like Descript/CapCut/Camtasia/Loom
  • Maintain and evolve the screens/content/collateral library for consistency and ease of use
  • Collaborate on blog posts, newsletters, and customer stories, ensuring messaging aligns with brand voice and educator-first positioning


Brand & Creative

  • Ensure all content and collateral adhere to brand guidelines while keeping visuals fresh and engaging
  • Contribute to campaign design elements (logos, marks, swag, event graphics)
  • Suggest and pilot new formats (short-form video, templates, interactive content) to meet audience needs


What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in digital content, social media, or creative marketing
  • Proven track record of managing brand channels and growing engagement
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for educators, partners, and stakeholders
  • Experience driving earned conversation on social media and in PR and community engagement
  • Deeply empathetic to the challenges and motivations of educators and other school personnel 
  • Self-starter able to hit the ground running your first month on the job
  • Interest in and experience using AI for any purpose 
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video creation/editing tools (Descript, Loom, CapCut, Camtasia, etc.) 
  • Comfortability filming and editing short videos, speaking on-camera
  • Portfolio of social content and collateral that demonstrates creativity, polish, and impact
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Edtech or K-12 teaching experience 
  • Experience working with international education ministries 
  • Experience as an individual contributor at a high-growth startup


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity. For applicants in the US, the starting salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000, depending on relevant considerations like professional experience and related skillsets.
