OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITY :
- Work with Florida Trend’s Digital Publishing team and related departments to maintain and support the Company’s websites, digital channels (e.g., News verticals, content production, video newscasts and social media).
- Assist with all aspects of website support: including email blasts, eNewsletters, metrics and analytics.
- Work in conjunction with the Digital Operations Manager - contributing to the development of the Florida Trend’s long-range digital goals, objectives and strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task, engaging a variety of copy-content mixed-media projects; performing other assigned duties as requested.
- Provide solid and reliable project-essential reports and updates to the Digital Operations Manager and other Company department heads.
- Effectively and efficiently present content on the Company’s websites. Where appropriate, assist with the creation of Florida Trend’s multimedia offerings – including audio, video and e-zines.
- Assist with the creation of website advertising and marketing materials. Create and use Web analytics to help sales and marketing efforts.
- Under the direction of the Digital Operations Manager - work with Audience Development to maintain the Company’s integrated database of web and print subscribers.
- Deploy and reproduce printed content for digital consumption/distribution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Consistently demonstrate a collaborative attitude to build positive working relationships with colleagues on all levels.
- Experience with publishing, proofing, digital content-creation and associated deadlines.
- Copywriting and editing skills: Experience in promotional and engagement-based content generation.
- 4-year college degree preferred or relevant industry experience.
- Familiarity with social media account management and scheduling platforms, essential.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, photo editing, generative AI tools, motion graphics and/or video editing, preferred.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of digital technology - including SEO/SEM for digital media platforms.
- Experience with and a command of the Adobe Design suite of programs.
- Understanding of digital and social media marketing and engagement.
