Digital Copywriter

POSITION SUMMARY
The Copy Writer plays a critical role in shaping and protecting the brand’s written expression across consumer-facing channels. This position supports the articulation and evolution of our brand voice by crafting clear, cohesive, and compelling copy that enhances the customer experience and strengthens brand perception.
With a sharp editorial eye and refined sense of tone and storytelling, the Copy Writer brings precision, creativity, and consistency to every piece of content—balancing performance-driven objectives with thoughtful, brand-aligned messaging. Acting as a steward of language across creative deliverables, this role ensures written content reflects the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and stylistic integrity while resonating authentically with our audience.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Editorial Review & Copy Development
  • Write, edit, and refine compelling, consumer-facing copy across digital and print channels, including product descriptions, campaigns, and brand storytelling content.
  • Apply rigorous editorial standards to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar excellence, and alignment with brand tone across all deliverables.
  • Provide thoughtful line editing and structural recommendations to strengthen narrative flow, persuasion, and overall effectiveness.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for language quality, acting as a gatekeeper to uphold copy standards across all creative outputs.


Brand Voice & Messaging Consistency

  • Champion and maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines while allowing for nuance by channel and audience.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve and strengthen brand voice through language, storytelling, and tone refinement.
  • Partner closely with content creators, designers, and marketers to ensure cohesive, brand-aligned execution across campaigns and touchpoints.


Collaboration & Creative Partnership

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with E‑Commerce, Marketing, Creative, SEO, and Product teams to brainstorm, ideate, and execute content that supports both brand equity and business objectives.
  • Contribute strategically to campaign development by aligning messaging with customer insights, merchandising priorities, and channel goals.
  • Communicate clearly and constructively with stakeholders, incorporating feedback while advocating for editorial excellence.


SEO, Research & Performance Optimization

  • Conduct ongoing keyword and search-intent research to identify content opportunities that expand visibility across search ecosystems.
  • Apply SEO and emerging AEO best practices to optimize copy performance without compromising brand voice or storytelling quality.
  • Analyze search data, audience behavior, and performance metrics to inform copy refinements and ongoing optimization.
  • Effectively present research findings and recommendations through written documentation and verbal presentations to diverse audiences.


Quality Control & Workflow Excellence

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision, ensuring timely review, revision, and delivery of high-quality content.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor language, and emerging storytelling approaches—particularly within the luxury jewelry and retail space.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements to editorial workflows, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and creative excellence.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent does not have any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with writing for retail or consumer luxury brands, or technical writing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to write both persuasive, sales-driven copy and creative, narrative-driven content.
  • SEO & AEO fluency: Best practices and curiosity for emerging tech, including being comfortable using AI responsibly to enhance writing, efficiency, and research without sacrificing creativity or brand voice.
  • Strong background writing concise, digestible, copy that captures attention quickly for ecommerce and marketing channels including website and product pages.
  • Precision, organization, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment—without sacrificing quality.
  • Analytical mindset - Interprets performance data, search insights, and audience behavior to inform ongoing optimization.
  • Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers. This position’s current work schedule consists of working from home on Monday’s and Friday’s and from the Helzberg office Tuesday – Thursday. Schedules are subject to change with advanced notice.
