Digital Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist dentists during procedures using advanced digital tools such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding
• Operate X-ray equipment following strict infection control and aseptic techniques to produce high-quality images
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary supplies while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security
• Conduct vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures
• Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient communication
• Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed in line with anatomy knowledge and aseptic techniques
• Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting procedures or communicating with healthcare providers
• Support general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialty procedures with chairside assistance
• Maintain proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and the use of dental software such as Dentrix or Epic

Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Digital Dentist Assistant experience.
• High proficiency in intraoral scanning, e.g. iTero, TRIOS
• Experience with digital workflow
• Strong familiarity with dental practice management software.
