Digital Illustrator

Key expectations:

  • Create premium-quality illustrated visuals for online use on multiple channels, including on the Educative.io website, blog, and social media platforms. Graphics should be in line with Educative’s brand style.
  • Use AI to optimize the visual tasks.


Key skills:

  • Be able to transform abstract or technical concepts into beautiful and engaging visuals
  • Be able to prioritize and work on multiple design projects simultaneously based on rapidly evolving business needs. The company is a fast-growing startup with an international presence, so agility is key.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to clearly understand the needs and objectives of the multifunctional team, and ‘talk through’ design decisions.
  • Be able to work with remote teams and manage communication accordingly. (Head office is located in Seattle, USA.)


Required Tools:

  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for still images
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar to create videos and animated motion graphics
  • Proficiency with AI tools related to illustration/visuals


Recommended Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art Design, or related discipline
  • 2+ years in professional commercial design making customer-facing graphics and videos


Note: Applicants will also be required to provide a design portfolio, and may need to pass a simple design challenge.
