Job Description:

The Digital Investigation Expert will support advanced cybercrime investigations through data analysis, pattern recognition, coordination with law enforcement agencies, and technical supervision. The role focuses on analyzing cybercrime trends, supporting platforms such as Samanvaya, and assisting I4C and LEAs in identifying criminal networks, modus operandi, and misuse of digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify trends and operational requirements related to Samanvaya and its modules, and coordinate with development teams, LEAs, and domain experts of I4C.
  • Supervise the work of Consultants and Technical Assistants, including vetting reports and providing technical and analytical inputs.
  • Perform pattern recognition to identify suspect gangs, their modus operandi (MOs), locations, target profiles, and patterns of misuse of telecom, banking, and IT infrastructure.
  • Cross-reference cybercrime data with criminal databases, threat intelligence feeds, and other relevant data sources.
  • Analyze and interpret threat indicators from cybercrime databases and online sources to understand evolving criminal MOs.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience assisting law enforcement agencies in investigating cyber fraud cases.
  • Completed B.E./B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MBA / Postgraduate degree with First Division or minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Advanced certifications related to cyber investigation, digital forensics, anti-money laundering, crime risk analysis, financial crimes, or other relevant domains.
  • Strong experience in coordinating data requests with intermediaries.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing Call Detail Records (CDR) and IP Detail Records (IPDR).
  • Hands-on experience in mobile malware analysis, website investigations, and cryptocurrency investigations.
  • Knowledge of forensic imaging, data recovery, and mobile forensics.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a wide range of tools, services, and platforms essential for cyber investigations.
  • Prior experience working closely with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
