Position Summary
Junior Achievement of Rhode Island (JA) is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Marketing and Communications Manager. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies, managing the online presence of Rhode Island Experiential Learning Navigator (RIEXL) and JA, and serve as support for the JA team in creating content and collateral. The position will work closely with the development and educations teams to ensure consistent messaging across multiple campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design, digital marketing, and content creation, with a passion for driving engagement and growth.

Position Description

Website Development and Management

  • Design, develop, and maintain the RIEXL (Wix) website, including program opportunities, employer resources, etc. to ensure visually appealing and user-friendly experiences for employer and educator partners.
  • Using WIX content management software update and maintain opportunities, resources, and partner listings to accurately present to users.
  • Work with JA staff to ensure the Junior Achievement website (Squarespace) is regularly updated and maintained to ensure marketing and facilitation of JA programs and events.
  • Optimize sites performance speeds, search engine optimization (SEO), and mobile responsiveness.

Social Media Management/ Content Creation

  • Work with Director of Development to create and post engaging content for newsletters, social media, and websites that highlight JA initiatives.
  • Plan and execute content calendars across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X for both JA RI and RIEXL to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Design graphics, digital ads, and marketing collateral using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Monitor social media channels for feedback, questions, and comments, and engage with the audience in a timely and professional manner.

Marketing Strategy Development/ Strategic Marketing and Campaign Management

  • Manage multi-channel campaigns (digital ads, billboards, radio, print, email, and social media) to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Coordinate timelines, creative assets, and deliverables with vendors, partners, and JA staff to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives using analytic tools and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

Database Management and Data Entry

  • Manage partner and prospect database, ensuring data accuracy, organization, and compliance with data.
  • Segment data for targeted marketing campaigns and personalized communications.
  • Regularly clean and update database to maintain their integrity and effectiveness.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports tracking key performance indicators such as reach, conversions, click-through rates, and engagement.

Collaboration and Cross Departmental Support

  • Support event marketing and collateral for JA Inspire, Achieve-A-Bowl, Profiles in Excellence and other major programs or events.
  • Manage vendor relationships for printing and promotional materials.
  • Assist with visual presentations and promotional assets for outreach events.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in web design, preferably with proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and techniques, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various platforms and audiences.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, campaigns, and deadlines across different timelines.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
  • A creative thinker with a passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.

Classification/Expected Hours/Compensation

  • Exempt
  • Full-time/Year-round
  • Office-based (with opportunities to work remotely, as needed)
  • $50,000+ (negotiable, commensurate with experience)
