Job Summary
The Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator develops dynamic content across Visit Loudoun’s digital platforms, marketing materials and collateral. This role leads social media and blog activity, creates written and visual content, implements website updates and supports integrated marketing campaigns. The position also assists with media outreach and promotional opportunities to increase awareness and visitation to Loudoun County. Duties
- Keep Visit Loudoun’s website and blog content fresh, accurate and engaging.
- Implement SEO recommendations to improve visibility and search performance.
- Review website regularly for accuracy, clarity and best user experience.
- Audit website content and imagery seasonally to ensure timeliness and relevance.
- Develop, write and manage social media content and calendars across all platforms.
- Support marketing campaigns, projects and collateral production.
- Ensure brand consistency in visuals, voice and tone across all channels.
- Develop content for Visit Loudoun’s website, blog, social media and sales collateral.
- Update website content regularly to implement SEO recommendations; review for accuracy, clarity and best user experience; audit for seasonality to ensure timely, relevant content and imagery.
- Create and edit written, photo and video content for digital and print marketing.
- Maintain and execute social media editorial calendars across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and emerging platforms.
- Monitor social media performance, analyze engagement trends and report insights to guide messaging.
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, contests and promotions.
- Support media relations by uploading media mentions into CRM for partner reporting and assisting with media visits.
- Manage content migration across internal and external platforms.
- Maintain Visit Loudoun’s digital asset library and archives.
- Collaborate with partners on promotions, events and storytelling opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors, creative partners and other departments to ensure successful campaign execution.
Experience
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience (minimum two years in marketing with DMO experience preferred).
- Experience in social media, blogging platforms and website content management.
- Background in content creation, writing and editing.
- Marketing project and production experience.
- Familiarity with SEO, GA4 and digital performance measurement.
- Brand promotion experience, with an understanding of hospitality/tourism industry preferred.
- Working knowledge of AI technologies and their practical applications.
- Knowledge of customer service and tourism industry.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
