Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic, Inc., is a congregation of Catholic religious sisters who have served as missionaries since 1912, when we became the first group of Catholic sisters in the United States founded for overseas mission. Today, we have more than 200 sisters serving in 18 places around the world and throughout the United States, including at our Center House in Ossining, N.Y. As part of the Development team, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for helping to conceptualize and execute the digital marketing strategy. This position helps maintain and advance Maryknoll Sisters digital presence on our website, and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). This position will also be responsible for monitoring all digital analytics for the website, SEO, website donations, email donations/deliverability and social media.
A strong skill set in google analytics, WordPress and writing, as well as an appreciation and understanding for the work of the Maryknoll Sisters is required. In addition, this position provides an essential support role for long-term digital marketing goals and objectives. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will keep up with the current evolution of online technology and have a passion for digital marketing.
Duties Include:
Analytics
- Responsible for managing and tracking all metric and performance on all marketing initiatives.
- Monitors and reviews analytics for website traffic, website donations, email campaigns using Google Analytics and Blackbaud Luminate Online Database.
- Monitors and reviews analytics for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Vimeo.
- Reviews and analyzes SEO analytics provided from vendor.
- Provides weekly reports to Development Director using Microsoft Excel.
- Creates and manages filing system for all analytical reports.
Website Content & Development
- Assists managing Blackbaud Luminate Online Database (will train, if needed).
- Collaborates with the PR & Comm. Manager and Web team to strategize and improve website content.
- Works with the Website team to strategically review analytics and content to ensure user engagement is high and utilizes new technologies.
- Graphic design/provides content for website creative updates such as: changes to images, Sister bios, appeal landing pages, events, online forms, etc.
- Manages Web Site Gift Shop sales and maintains/organizes inventory.
- Assists with video creation, as needed.
Social Media
- Helps Development Director plan/research/write engaging content for social media while pre-scheduling posts for the month in tool such as (Hootsuite)
- Monitors and joins conversations on social media platforms.
Experience Required
- 1-3 years of content/editorial experience in the digital field, preferably with an eye toward both writing and graphic design.
- Strong experience with WordPress is required. Applicants without WordPress experience will not be considered.
- Experience with various social media channels, creative writing, analytical tools and Microsoft Excel.
- A sound knowledge of digital space, emerging tech and related technologies.
Education Required
- B.S. in Communications, Marketing or related field, required.
