Digital Marketing Director – E-Commerce & App Growth Focus

We are hiring a highly experienced, strategic, and growth-driven Digital Marketing Director to lead the full marketing function for a fast-growing e-commerce and mobile-app business in a competitive Saudi and GCC market.

If you have 10 to 15 years of proven success in scaling digital-first businesses, thrive in dynamic startup environments, and can transform marketing into a revenue and growth engine, this role will place you at the core of the company’s strategic leadership.

You will oversee the entire marketing department, manage cross-functional collaboration, develop data-driven strategies, enforce operational workflows, and guide all performance, creative, and technical marketing activities toward measurable business outcomes. This role requires a leader who combines strategy, execution, technical expertise, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Growth Ownership:

·      Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy across e-commerce and mobile app ecosystems, driving revenue growth, user acquisition, retention, and ROI.

·      Build, manage, and optimize a complete marketing operation with clear workflows, guidelines, SOPs, performance frameworks, and department accountability.

·      Align all marketing activities with overarching business objectives and financial targets, ensuring clear contribution to growth, CAC efficiency, CLTV expansion, and profitability.

·      Build and lead high-impact growth marketing initiatives, including funnel optimization, experimentation frameworks, customer acquisition strategies, and value-based analytics.

·      Lead company-level strategic planning and collaborate directly with top management on quarterly and annual growth roadmaps.

Leadership, Team Management & Department Structure:

·      Oversee, mentor, and firmly manage a multidisciplinary marketing team, ensuring clarity of roles, KPIs, deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics.

·      Organize and govern the internal marketing workflow from planning to execution, reviews, approvals, reporting, and cross-departmental coordination.

·      Conduct department audits, evaluate past marketing work, identify gaps, optimize output quality, and implement improvements across strategies, campaigns, creatives, and operations.

·      Foster strong communication across marketing, product, tech, design, operations, and executive leadership to ensure full alignment and operational synergy.

·      Build a marketing organization that minimizes reliance on external agencies by strengthening internal capabilities and execution standards.

Performance Marketing & Data Analytics:

·      Oversee and optimize multi-channel performance campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax, UAC), Meta Ads, TikTok, Snapchat, and other relevant platforms.

·      Lead the development and optimization of full funnel KPIs, including ROAS, CAC, CPI, LTV, conversion rates, retention, and AOV.

·      Drive advanced analytical practices using GA4, Firebase, attribution platforms, and BI dashboards to provide deep insights and actionable recommendations.

·      Manage budget allocation, forecasting, and spending efficiency with a strategic and financially disciplined mindset.

Technical Marketing Leadership:

·      Oversee and validate all technical marketing setups including GTM, GA4, Firebase, SDK integrations, tracking events, pixels, attribution logic, and conversion flows.

·      Collaborate closely with the technical and development teams to ensure full accuracy of data, correct implementation of events, and seamless integration across marketing systems.

·      Lead ongoing audits of tracking, product feeds, events, and analytics infrastructure to maintain data integrity and campaign efficiency.

Creative, Content, and Social Media Oversight:

·      Supervise content creation, social media strategy, creative production, brand messaging, and asset development across all platforms.

·      Direct the planning, creation, and execution of high-quality creative work, including videos, photoshoots, reels, static assets, and UGC-style content.

·      Ensure all creative output aligns with brand positioning, growth objectives, cultural relevance, and platform best practices.

·      Review and approve creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and campaign materials before production and launch.

Operational Excellence & Execution:

·      Lead cross-functional execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met consistently.

·      Participate directly in hands-on execution when needed, including campaign setup, performance analysis, and technical troubleshooting.

·      Identify pain points in the marketing operation, resolve bottlenecks, and implement systems that improve speed, quality, and efficiency.

·      Ensure disciplined project management, time management, and resource allocation across all marketing functions.

Required Qualifications:

·      10 to 15 years of experience in marketing, with strong emphasis on e-commerce and mobile app growth.

·      Extensive hands-on experience in the Saudi and GCC markets, with deep understanding of consumer behavior, competition, and regional advertising dynamics.

·      Proven leadership experience managing full marketing departments, including team structure, workflows, KPIs, performance evaluation, and cross-departmental coordination.

·      Bilingual in Arabic and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.

·      Strong expertise in performance marketing, analytics, budget strategy, and revenue attribution.

·      Advanced technical capability in GTM, GA4, Firebase, SDKs, product feeds, attribution tools, and event configuration.

·      Demonstrated success in startup environments, scaling businesses, driving revenue, increasing ROI, and improving acquisition economics.

·      Strong experience in creative direction, content development, storytelling, social media management, and multi-platform asset production.

·      Strong business mindset with the ability to connect marketing strategy to commercial outcomes.

·      Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to extract insights from complex data.

·      Proven record of managing agencies, vendors, and third-party partners while prioritizing internal capability building.

·      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
