Position Summary
The Lesniak Institute for American Leadership, led by Senator Raymond Lesniak, is seeking a Media Specialist Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the digital media landscape, with skills in handling cameras, video editing, and storytelling. Flexibility to attend Institute events is essential. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in both online and in-person media work, especially within the nonprofit sector.
Qualifications/Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or Business Marketing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, Capcut)
- Experience developing online content (scriptwriting, editing, photography, and videography)
- Experience with Data Analytics throughout all platforms
- Basic Understanding of SEO
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture photos and videos at events for online campaigns
- Edit video content for various platforms
- Collaborate with the team to design, write, and produce online content for various platforms (scriptwriting, editing, photography, and videography)
- Assist with research to make purposeful, curated advocacy content for all platforms
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor campaign performance, gather insights, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Provide support at live events (photos, videos, storytelling)
