Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern (Part-Time, Paid)
Role Objective
Support the company’s digital presence, brand visibility, and online engagement across Odyssey Mechanical and Hood Mechanical. This role focuses on social media execution, review management, digital content creation, and maintaining marketing integrations under the direction of the Director of Revenue Operations.
Scope of Role
Social Media Management
● Manage and maintain social media accounts for both brands (Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profiles, and other platforms as directed).
● Publish 3–5 posts per week per brand aligned with promotions, seasonal services, campaigns, and company initiatives.
● Coordinate post topics, messaging, and timing with the Director of Revenue Operations to ensure alignment with marketing strategy.
● Monitor comments and direct messages and route service inquiries to the office team when necessary. Content Creation
● Capture photo and video content from the field including:
○ Technician spotlights
○ Before/after service work
○ Equipment installs
○ Community involvement
○ Customer testimonials
● Produce short-form video content for social platforms.
● Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos, and marketing assets for future use. Reputation Management
● Respond to Google reviews across both brands following strategy and tone guidelines established by the Director of Revenue Operations.
● Monitor incoming reviews and flag any service concerns or negative feedback for leadership awareness.
Website & Digital Tools
● Manage and maintain the RealWork integration on the company websites.
● Ensure photos, completed projects, and jobsite updates remain current and accurate.
● Assist with uploading new project images and keeping online work examples fresh.
Brand & Campaign Support
● Assist in executing marketing campaigns by distributing content across social platforms. ● Promote memberships, seasonal offers, financing programs, and service promotions.
● Repurpose existing marketing materials into social content where applicable. Community Engagement
● Attend select community events or company activities to capture photos and videos.
● Represent the company as a brand ambassador when gathering content in the field or at events.
Reporting
● Provide a monthly summary report including:
○ Posting consistency
○ Engagement metrics
○ Follower growth
○ Top-performing content
○ Content recommendations based on performance.
Time Commitment
● Paid internship
● Approximately 20 hours per week
● Flexible scheduling with occasional field visits for content capture
