Digital Marketing Lead (Volunteer)
What you will own:
- Public facing messages, digital market strategy, social media presence
- Create social media content aligned to mission and branding guidelines
- Turn event recaps and partnership updates into short social media posts
- Edit field interview videos and photos to produce IG reels, Facebook Posts
- Storytelling that shares community impact as we travel and train statewide
- Help update nonprofit/charity profiles (Candid/GuideStar, other platforms)
- Support a basic content rhythm for awareness days, trainings, and stories
- Coordinate with other volunteers using online tools and short virtual meetings

Our Org:
ReadyMeNow is a volunteer-powered Mississippi-based IRS registered 501(c)(3) public charity that is starting operations in counties across the state of Mississippi.

- Lead others to make it easy for communities to see where and how we serve
- Showcase success of local events, value of partnerships, and value of volunteers
- Champion calls for communities to volunteer, partner, train in our events
- Help ensure online information is accurate, timely, and welcoming
- Amplify the work of Partnerships & Outreach Volunteers and Readiness Coaches
About this role:
- This is a volunteer opportunity, not a paid employment position.
- Time commitment: flexible schedule, around 3–5 hours per week, remote.
- Weekly coordination calls via Microsoft Teams for direction and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Create content for social media (FB, IG, LinkedIn) from leadership reports
- Suggest small updates to web content or public-facing descriptions
- Create messages and promote events on Deed, Instagram, volunteer sites
- Update charity/nonprofit profiles like Candid with current information
- Organize basic content ideas on a simple shared list or calendar
- Participate in short online meetings to align on priorities and timing
Required
- Live in the United States
- Age 18 or older
- Complete a background check before placement
- Comfortable writing short, clear messages in plain language
- Willing to learn and follow branding and messaging guidelines
- Able to use basic online tools (email, shared docs, forms) reliably
Preferred
- Experienced digital marketer, content creator promoting a nonprofit
- Familiarity with simple design or content tools (e.g., Canva or similar)
- Previous volunteer experience in communications, marketing, or outreach
- Comfort working with a dispersed team in a virtual environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $1.00 per year
Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week
