Job Overview
Refine Marketing is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager who can think strategically, manage client relationships, and execute real work. This is a hybrid role that combines digital strategy, hands-on execution, client communication, and project management.
You’ll lead marketing efforts across several clients, develop strategies based on their goals, manage ongoing work, and execute tasks using modern tools (including AI). You won’t be expected to be a designer or a deep technical specialist, but you will need to be capable, resourceful, and comfortable doing a mix of hands-on digital tasks and delegating work to our contractor network.
This role is for someone who likes variety, thinks on their feet, and thrives in an agency environment where no two days are identical.
Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Develop tailored marketing strategies and tactical plans
- Lead client check-ins and communicate progress clearly and confidently
- Translate business goals into actionable marketing priorities
Hands-On Digital Execution
You won’t do everything yourself, but you need to be capable and confident in:
- Writing copy for social posts, ads, landing pages, and emails (AI-supported is fine, but you must refine and elevate it)
- Setting up and managing basic ad campaigns (Meta, Google, LinkedIn)
- Updating websites (WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow — depending on the client)
- Building email newsletters and automations
- Making simple graphic updates in Canva
- Conducting keyword research and applying SEO best practices
- Pulling analytics data and turning it into actionable insights
Project & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with designers, developers, videographers, and other specialists
- Create clear project briefs and ensure deliverables stay on schedule
- Review contractor work for quality and alignment
- Identify when outside help is needed and source the right partner
Trend Awareness & Problem Solving
- Stay on top of updates in digital advertising, social algorithms, SEO, and AI tools
- Proactively suggest improvements, efficiencies, and new approaches
- Solve problems quickly and independently
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in digital marketing, agency experience preferred
- Strong understanding of core channels: paid social, search, email, websites, SEO
- Comfortable using AI tools to increase speed and quality (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
- Experience or familiarity with common marketing platforms: Meta ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, WordPress/Squarespace/Shopify/Webflow, Mailchimp/HubSpot/Constant Contact
- Strong project management skills — you can keep several clients and deadlines organized
- Confident communicating with clients directly
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
