This role essentially bridges the gap between marketing communications and sales growth.

The primary duties blend traditional business development goals with modern digital strategy

Business Growth & Lead Generation

Identify and Qualify Leads: Actively research and identify potential new clients, partners, and business

opportunities using social listening, platform analytics, and industry trends.

Relationship Building: Initiate and nurture relationships with prospects, influencers, and key stakeholders

through targeted engagement on platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and industry-specific communities.

Strategy Alignment: Develop business development strategies that specifically utilize social media to support

sales pipelines, drive traffic to relevant landing pages, and generate marketing-qualified leads (MQLs).

Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to transition warm leads generated via social media and

provide social context for outreach and follow-up.

Partnerships: Seek out potential strategic alliances or co-marketing opportunities on social media to expand

market reach.

Social Media Strategy & Execution

Content Strategy: Plan, create, curate, and schedule high-quality, relevant content (text, images, video)

specifically designed to attract and educate prospective business clients.

Brand Authority: Establish and maintain a consistent, professional, and authoritative brand voice across all

relevant platforms.

Community Management: Actively monitor social channels for mentions, industry conversations, and relevant

discussions. Engage with the audience in a way that provides value and positions the brand as a thought

leader.

Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and manage targeted paid social media campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn

Ads, Facebook Lead Generation ads) to achieve specific business development goals.

Reputation Management: Proactively manage the company’s online reputation, especially by professionally

addressing feedback or inquiries from potential and existing clients.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Proven work experience in a combined or related role, such as Business Development, Sales, or

Social Media Marketing/Management.

Platforms: Deep, up-to-date knowledge of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices

for B2B lead generation.
